ORLANDO, Fla. – Tuesday, January 6, 2015 – After years of working together on projects, Shok Idea Group, Inc. and Archipelago have merged to form one of the nation’s most unique and robust media and design companies.

Shok Idea Group has earned a reputation for its creative influence in global retail and electronics design initiatives, while Archipelago has rapidly expanded its national clientele in the fields of higher education, healthcare and insurance. The blending of each company’s unique area of expertise and business structure fortifies the strengths and scope of both their areas of specialty. As a full-service branding and design firm, Shok Idea Group will be dedicated to premier strategic marketing, digital and traditional media, branding and digital design innovations and solutions.

Archipelago Inc. was founded in 2008 as a virtual agency and quickly evolved as a well-respected organization specializing in strategic marketing, media planning, research, and social media. Shok Idea Group was established four years ago by Scott Disbennett and specializes in branding, product design, package design and web/mobile development. Shok Idea Group has has won numerous design and industry awards for their creative and web projects. Additionally, they are responsible for numerous design concepts for local projects along Flagler Avenue in New Smyrna Beach and Ormond Beach, rejuvenating exterior and interior designs and concepts for area restauranteurs and investors.

Under the merger, Scott Disbennett will become Shok Idea Group’s Creative Principal with Lee transitioning to the company’s Principal Strategist. Disbennett and Lee have similar backgrounds in ad campaign creation for TV, radio, and interactive platforms. Additionally, both are branding specialists. The company has offices in New Smyrna Beach and Orlando.
